About Sherri

Hi and thank you for learning more about me! I’m Sherri Shergill, a mental health therapist and program consultant located in Calgary, Alberta. I graduated from New York University with a Masters in Counselling Psychology and am a registered Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC). I have been a therapist and involved in program management for over 10 years and have had the opportunity to work with a wonderful and diverse client base.
I specialize in a culturally responsive approach, believing that our community, beliefs and upbringing shape who we are – and sometimes it’s worth examining how those have positively or inaccurately influenced us. I work in front line therapy as a clinical counselling supervisor, a consultant with non profit organizations and previously as a non profit program manager. I have had the opportunity to work alongside many clients, including women, children, immigrants, refugees and vulnerable populations. Each of us are unique in our strengths and challenges and I value taking the time to build trusted relationships.
I believe in thoughtful and meaningful programming and know it has the benefit of pushing individuals and organizations forward to successful and healthier outcomes. I also believe in making programming as accessible and comfortable as possible. If you have any questions or curiosity about my services, please book a complimentary consult!
